Igarapé Institute is an independent think-and-do tank that conducts research, develops solutions and establishes partnerships, aiming to influence both public and corporate policies and practices in overcoming major global challenges. Our mission is to contribute to public, digital, and climate security in Brazil and worldwide. Igarapé is a non-profit and non-partisan institution, based in Rio de Janeiro, operating from the local to the global level.

As a non-profit organization supported by voluntary contributions, we rely on the support of individuals and institutions to help us design and develop research, technologies, actions and data solutions based on improving data public policies and effective multimedia communication. Our goal is to collaborate with governments, the private sector and civil society to establish partnerships and innovations that offer solutions to complex problems.
