The Igarapé Institute is an independent think and do tank focused on promoting citizen, digital and climate and nature security. The Institute conducts data-driven research, designs solutions and builds networks to drive public and corporate policy and programming. The Institute is focused on driving impact in Brazil and worldwide.

As a non-profit organization based in Brazil and operating across the Global South, the Institute welcomes support from individuals and institutions. All voluntary donations directly support the Igarapé Institute team and its dozens of partners operating across Brazil, the Amazon Basin, and around the world. The Institute has a gold standard financial management and compliance system, including regular independent audits.
